Aviation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Engine Technician to perform post lease inspections, including visual inspections, inventory of engine parts, and installation of parts to upgrade engines. You will conduct borescope inspections, measure and record data, disassemble and assemble engines, and carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, and services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed visual inspections and post lease inspections of engines.
• Perform borescope inspections and take precise measurements.
• Disassemble and reassemble gear turbo fan engines, parts, and sub-assemblies.
• Conduct line maintenance and operate within flight line protocols.
• Interpret technical drawings and utilize maintenance manuals and operation procedures.
• Use fixed or variable measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Maintain effective communication with managers, field representatives, and airline mechanics.
• Complete and update maintenance records in compliance with FAA or other regulatory agencies.
• Resolve customer in-service issues and understand customer preferences in engine maintenance and repair.
• Develop internal service center procedures aligning with regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
• Proficient in working with GTF (gear turbo fan) engines, with experience in V2500 and PW4000 engines preferred.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine engine hardware and borescope inspection procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• A&P license preferred.
• Powerplant license required.

Work Environment

This position operates in an Engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) setting, with a flexible 8-hour shift schedule from Monday to Friday. Employees can start their shifts between 6 am and 7 am, as long as the 8-hour requirement is met. The work involves handling various engine types and requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
