Job Summary of Alternate Aide:

Aid teachers in facilitating educational tasks, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized help to students as necessary. Promote the academic and personal development of students, particularly those with specific learning requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Alternate Aide:

• Render instructional aid to students through personalized or small group sessions.
• Offer guidance in maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment through efficient classroom management.
• Support in getting materials ready and aiding with administrative tasks.
• Guide students in different school scenarios, which may include meal spaces, recreational facilities, and external learning experiences.
• Support students with specialized needs as prescribed by their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Offer assistance to students with their academic, personal, and emotional concerns.
• Carry through supplementary duties as requested by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Alternate Aide:

• Many positions mandate applicants to hold a high school diploma or GED as a foundation.
• Adeptness in English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
