Assistant Merchant

Job Overview

The Assistant Merchant supports the development and execution of merchandising strategies for the Unsubscribed brand. This role assists in managing seasonal product assortments, analyzing performance, and ensuring alignment with brand vision and customer expectations. The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, trend-aware, and eager to grow a career in merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Merchant team to build and manage seasonal assortments that reflect the Unsubscribed brand aesthetic.

• Track product development timelines, maintain line sheets, and ensure accurate product data across systems.

• Assist in analyzing sales, margin, and inventory to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.

• Conduct market and competitive research to inform product strategies and pricing decisions.

• Support cross-functional collaboration with Design, Production, Planning, and Marketing to deliver cohesive product assortments.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and tools to support milestone meetings and leadership reviews.

• Ensure the assortment aligns with sustainability initiatives and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or related field.

• 0–2 years of retail or merchandising experience (internships accepted).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and merchandising systems/tools.

• Passion for sustainability, fashion, and the Unsubscribed brand ethos.
