Overview:

As an Assistant Manager at Sally Beauty, you will support the Store Manager in leading the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet business goals. You’ll help drive sales, build a passionate and high-performing team, and ensure brand standards are met across all areas of the store. When the Store Manager is absent, you’ll take full responsibility for operations and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience & Sales (30%)

• Support the daily direction and supervision of store associates

• Ensure consistent execution of the in-store selling model and omnichannel experience

• Resolve customer issues professionally while maximizing KPIs and loyalty initiatives

• Maintain brand presentation standards including merchandising and store cleanliness

Team Development (30%)

• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training store associates

• Motivate and coach team members for individual and store growth

• Maintain positive associate relations and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion

• Communicate effectively with peers, management, and team members

Operations Management (30%)

• Support all operational processes including inventory management, payroll scheduling, and shipment processing

• Ensure compliance with digital fulfillment systems (BOPIS, SFS, SDD)

• Execute opening and closing procedures accurately

• Follow through on corporate initiatives and directives

Safety & Loss Prevention (10%)

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

• Implement and monitor inventory and cash control procedures

• Utilize available tools and reporting to analyze risks and prevent loss

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• 3+ years of retail or customer service experience preferred

• 1+ year of supervisory or management experience preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends

• Cosmetology license a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly

• May be required to work in other stores occasionally

• Must follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
