As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll be the leader supporting and encouraging your whole team. Assistant Store Manager responsibilities:

The optimization of customer transactions is fundamental to enhancing the overall profitability and viability of a business

  • Your main focus is on curating the total customer experience in your store, aligning both visual and commercial elements with global directives
  • Showing a positive image of both yourself and the H&M brand in customer interactions
  • Embrace the strengths of your department and make it a priority to identify and act upon commercial opportunities for sustainable growth and prosperity
  • Design and evaluate sales and budgetary goals, developing plans to optimize performance effectively
  • Offer customer service in all store sections and enable your team to actively promote and sell products to customers
  • The active promotion of our Customer Loyalty App, Hello Member, and in-store sustainability initiatives is a key focus for your team
  • Control the expenses of your department through strategic management
  • Implement appropriate routines for fitting room management and cashier duties, such as conducting transactions and handling returns or exchanges
  • Validate the proper execution of all administrative tasks for both staff and processes

  • Keep abreast with the fashion world by staying informed on trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors, and significant influencers
  • It is crucial that your team imparts product and fashion insight as well as other relevant information during customer interactions

Team & Development

  • Tasked with sourcing talent, integrating new hires, appraising performance, and enhancing the capabilities of your in-store team
  • Develop and implement performance assessments and succession planning procedures tailored to support the demands of the business and team
  • Sustain and transfer your knowledge and aptitudes within your team
  • Collaborating effectively with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team necessitates careful planning and synchronized teamwork to create a visually compelling retail environment
  • Embrace the practice of giving and receiving feedback within your team to promote growth, collaboration, and encouragement
  • Responsible for orchestrating and managing the team's planning and scheduling
  • Sustained interaction with store coworkers to disseminate updates, enhance motivation, and instill inspiration through scheduled meetings and daily exchanges
  • Ensure compliance with all operating procedures, customary routines, and legal obligations in all parts of the store
  • Be actively engaged in the onboarding and introduction processes, training programs, and courses that are essential for your role and ongoing development

Managing retail operations effectively requires overseeing factors like store layout, pricing strategies, and employee training, while visual and commercial execution is centered around crafting visually appealing product presentations and promotional campaigns

  • Keep the sales area and backroom orderly and clean, managing stockroom locations effectively
  • Emphasize the importance of garment maintenance in delivering exceptional fashion quality, visually appealing product showcases, and successful commercial endeavors
  • - Maintain optimal inventory levels and provide recommendations on allocation for the regional team
  • Abide by our internal guidelines and protocols to ensure a complete garment cycle, encompassing the handling of items from delivery to presentation on the sales floor, and execute fitting room routines in accordance with our standards, utilizing the tools and technology available
  • Maintain and follow the recommended best practices for managing in-store OMNI services and utilizing in-store tech tools such as the Instore Care App, Click & Collect, and Smart Store functionalities
  • Secure a strong balance and oversee the maintenance of price indicators in-store and throughout the sales floor/store in alignment with directives according to global and local strategies & sales market/regional needs to maintain a robust and coherent pricing image throughout the store
  • Managing and updating BOH locations to support team members with essential information, health and safety protocols, and overall neatness
  • Tasked with managing the daily opening and closing routines of the store

Assistant Store Manager Compensation: The hourly salary range for Assistant Store Managers is forecasted to be $21.39-$25.24
