Job Summary of Assistant Teacher:

Provide classroom instruction and support by implementing lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure a productive learning environment while following established classroom routines and school policies. This role offers an opportunity to gain teaching experience and contribute to student development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Teacher:

• Complete and deliver lesson plans in line with the directives of the missing teacher.
• Uphold safety and order in the classroom.
• Assist students in grasping the material covered in their courses and successfully finishing their assignments.
• Promptly relay information about student injuries, illnesses, or critical behavior problems to school officials.
• Execute additional duties as mandated by school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Teacher:

• Non-certified status is achievable through having a New Jersey Substitute Certification and completing 30 college credits.
• Applicants are expected to have a valid New Jersey certification for Continuing Education (CE), Certified Educational Administration and Supervision (CEAS), or Standard Teacher Certification.
• Competency in English language skills, covering speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
