Carpenter Apprentice

Job Description:

As the Carpenter Apprentice, your key responsibilities will include handling a diverse range of work orders, taking care of daily project management, and working with commercial and industrial clients exclusively. Your tasks may include managing doors, hardware, concrete work, demolition, as well as working on new construction and renovation sites. Every day can bring new challenges as you may have to travel to project locations that are within a one to one and a half-hour radius of the office, with frequent visits to your largest client. You must be a self-starter and possess great problem-solving skills, as well as maintain high levels of customer service to excel in this role. You'll be paid competitively with a rate of $25-$28 per hour and reimbursed for your mileage expenses based on the job site.

Hard Skills:

• Instead of traditional wood framing, many builders and contractors opt for steel or metal frames
• Acoustic tiles are often used in ceilings to decrease sound transfer between rooms
• Cabinetry
• Countertops
• When working with light concrete, the construction process typically involves using a variety of different lightweight aggregates such as expanded shale, perlite, or vermiculite
• Light demolition
• Installation of commercial doors and hardware requires careful attention to detail to ensure their proper functionality and longevity
• Possessing one's own set of tools and the proficiency to use them can also boost one's confidence and self-sufficiency
• Exhibiting the proficiency to operate without direct supervision
• Problem-solving skills
• Providing top-notch customer service is crucial for maintaining positive relationships with clients
• Presentability
