Carpenter/Finisher

Job Description:

The Carpenter/Finisher plays an essential role in handling daily work orders and managing projects that cater mainly to commercial and industrial clients. These projects may involve door installation, hardware and concrete work, demolition, and new construction and renovation projects. Your daily operations include traveling to project sites, which can vary within a radius of one to one and a half hours of the office, with frequent visits to the organization's largest client. The successful candidate must possess independent thinking and excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on maintaining high levels of customer service. You'll be paid between $25-$28 per hour, with an opportunity for mileage reimbursement based on the job site.

Hard Skills:

• Metal and steel framing also provides improved fire protection compared to wood
• The use of acoustical tile ceilings has increased in recent years due to their effectiveness in reducing noise pollution
• Cabinetry
• Countertops
• In order to ensure the structural integrity of light concrete constructions, engineers and architects must ensure that the right materials are used and the construction process is carefully monitored
• Light demolition
• The installation of commercial doors and hardware should only be carried out by trained professionals who possess the necessary skills to ensure their correct placement and functioning
• The ability to master the operation of hand and power tools can signal to potential employers that an applicant has a practical skill set that can be applied to a variety of jobs
• Demonstrating the capability to work unsupervised with minimal direction
• Problem-solving skills
• Going the extra mile for customers can lead to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth recommendations
• Presentability
