Role and Responsibilities of Center Store Associate:

As a valued member of the Grocery Store team, your responsibilities include offering excellent customer service in the Center Store Department, ensuring that standard practices are followed to enhance sales and reduce shrinkage effectively:

• Give timely, congenial, and precise customer service to establish a pleasant shopping atmosphere.
• Comply with organizational expectations by maintaining the cleanliness of shelves, shelf tags, and displays.
• Place products on shelves following the designated price tags to ensure only sellable items are on display.
• Stick to the company's regulations regarding the process of ordering, receiving, preparing, conditioning, and showcasing merchandise.
• Utilize the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) utilities accessible within the organization.
• Adhere strictly to the company's policies, guidelines, and established conventions.
• Comply with the requirements for Food Safety and Workplace Safety standards.
• Report and address any unsafe conditions, as well as participate in accident reporting responsibilities when called upon.
• Maintain a clean and professional look by wearing the designated Food Lion uniform.
• Effectively fulfill requirements for Computer Based Training (CBT), training modules, and educational resources.

Required Skills and Experience of Center Store Associate:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is the desired credential.
• Solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication aptitudes.
• Aptitude and eagerness to learn a range of duties and technical prerequisites.
• Skill in problem resolution and effective utilization of technical information.
• Fulfilling the necessary age requirements is a must for the role.
• Being able to satisfy the physical prerequisites of the position, with or without reasonable modifications.
