Job Summary of Classroom Helper:

Help educators in guiding students through instructional tasks, ensuring classroom management, and offering personalized assistance. Support students in their academic and personal advancement, especially those requiring special accommodations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Classroom Helper:

• Provide educational guidance tailored to each student’s needs, either individually or in small group settings.
• Support in upholding a positive learning atmosphere through effective strategies for classroom management.
• Facilitate in preparing resources and managing administrative duties.
• Direct student oversight in different school settings, including lunchrooms, recreational areas, and field excursions.
• Provide assistance to students based on the specific support measures detailed in their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Assist students in fulfilling their academic, personal, and emotional needs.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Classroom Helper:

• Typically, a high school diploma or its equivalent in the form of a GED is necessary.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English through speaking, reading, and writing.
