Cleaning Technician

Job Description:

As an experienced Cleaning Technician you will be responsible for providing essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissues to areas that require them. You will also ensure that cleaning supplies are kept up to date, and check supplies regularly to ensure that they are adequate. Additionally, you will be responsible for the proper disposal of all medical waste and trash, making sure that all trash cans are properly sanitized with a fresh liner.

• Mastering the art of handling cleaning equipment and chemicals is a critical competency for maintenance staff and custodians alike
• Proper handling of medical waste is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of both healthcare workers and the general public
• You must make sure that you have assessed the furniture and the surrounding environment to identify any potential hazards before you begin moving furniture

Job Type

This job is for a limited time, specifically for a three-month period.

Work Environment

An individual selected for the job will operate within a hospital context, collaborate with a team of 6 to 8 associates reporting to a Lead EVS, and report to the Director of Plant Operations. The facility offers 36 rooms and comprises 60,000 sq ft and is equipped with a cafeteria, 3 smaller gyms, and a common area.
