CMM Quality Inspector

Job Description:

Our organization is currently in search of a competent CMM Quality Inspector to join our team. We are a family-owned company that focuses on producing precision machined components for the automotive, truck, and bus markets. The selected candidate will have an important role to play in maintaining our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect products to ensure they meet all necessary requirements and specifications as per company guidelines
• Creating PPAP packages can involve significant time and resources, but it is a critical step in launching new products successfully
• Businesses must conduct IATF audits to ensure they are compliant with industry regulations
• Conducting a root cause analysis helps organizations to uncover and address underlying issues that may be preventing them from achieving their goals
• By implementing effective quality control procedures and work instructions, organizations can improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and enhance their reputation in the marketplace
• Utilize cross-functional collaboration to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality
• Best practices encourage regular audits of production processes to identify areas that need improvement
• Establish and maintain superior metric standards and produce comprehensive surveys

Pay/Shift:

• The salary for this role falls between $60,000 and $85,000 per year
• Shift: 1st Shift

Required Hard Skills:

• With proficiency in quality control methodologies, organizations can achieve superior product and service quality while minimizing risks and liabilities
• Becoming familiar with the CMM's software and programming languages is particularly critical in setting up and operating the machine
• Continuous use of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers can help professionals in industries that require precise measurements to improve their skills
• The proficiency to develop detailed PPAP packages is indicative of a company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Collaborative efforts between quality control and production departments are necessary for the successful maintenance of a PFMEA and Control Plan in a manufacturing setting
• As an IATF audit leader, I prioritize transparency, honesty, and trust in all my dealings with clients. This allows me to build long-term relationships with clients and provide valuable support
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex root cause analysis findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• The ability to develop and maintain quality metrics is increasingly considered a critical skill for managers and leaders across multiple industries
