As a Certified Color Consultant at Sally Beauty, you’ll be the go-to expert in hair color, delivering a superior customer experience that builds loyalty and drives sales. Your deep product knowledge and personalized consultations will empower DIY enthusiasts to achieve their hair goals with confidence. Through one-on-one engagement, cross-category education, and tailored recommendations, you’ll position Sally Beauty as the leading destination for hair color expertise.

This role blends expert-level color consultation with everyday retail operations—ranging from merchandising and transactions to team mentorship and compliance with safety practices. You'll also support training and development within your store to ensure that your teammates grow alongside you.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert color consultations and recommend solutions that meet customers’ hair goals.

• Drive customer retention through personalized service, product knowledge, and proactive selling techniques.

• Meet or exceed assigned hair color sales goals and help expand category sales through cross-selling.

• Handle daily store operations, including POS transactions, stocking, pricing, and store maintenance.

• Mentor new team members and share your expertise to elevate in-store product knowledge.

• Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, and operational compliance, including loss prevention practices.

• Stay up to date on industry trends and complete all required training and development modules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years or older.

• At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred.

• Passion for beauty, especially in hair color, with the ability to explain products clearly.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

• Willingness to work flexible hours based on store needs.

• Familiarity with iPads, internet tools, and social media platforms.
