Job Summary

The Color & Curl Concierge is a specialist role dedicated to driving excellence in all things hair color and texture. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to beauty professionals and licensed cosmetologists, offering expert guidance, product education, and outstanding service—both in-store and virtually. In addition to general sales responsibilities, this role focuses on growing our market share in color and curl through relationship-building, education, and trend leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the in-store expert in color, curl, and texture care, providing tailored solutions to meet client needs

• Develop lasting relationships with beauty professionals to increase customer retention and brand loyalty

• Utilize market data and trends to recommend, sell, and introduce new products

• Provide technical support and consulting services to salons, spas, barbershops, cosmetology schools, and licensed stylists

• Stay ahead of industry trends and help educate peers and customers

• Ensure store merchandising and product displays reflect brand and promotional guidelines

• Resolve customer concerns and product inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Support store operations including opening, closing, banking, and cash handling

• Collaborate with peers and leadership to drive color & curl category performance

• Represent the CosmoProf/Sally Beauty brand values in all interactions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of retail or sales experience

• Licensed cosmetologist preferred (U.S. and Canada)

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally

• Must be able to attend sales meetings or beauty shows (approx. 3x/year)

• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and visual merchandising

• Strong technical skills with iPads, computers, and social media platforms

• Exceptional time management and multitasking ability

• Must pass a Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire

• Flexibility to work in multiple locations or adjust hours based on business needs

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Physical activities may include standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in retail store conditions

• Must follow all safety protocols typical of retail, office, and training environments
