Construction Draftsman

Job Description:

To qualify for the role of Construction Draftsman, you must be ready to handle daily work orders and diverse range of projects from commercial and industrial customers. You may be required to perform tasks including door installations, hardware and concrete work, demolition, and even work on new construction and renovation sites. Your work location may differ daily, stretching within a one to one and a half-hour radius of the office, including frequent visits to the organization's largest client. You must have great problem-solving skills, independence, and display outstanding customer service to be successful in this role. You'll receive competitive pay around $25- $28 per hour, with a potential reimbursement for your mileage expenses based on the job site.

Hard Skills:

• Building codes often require the use of steel or metal framing in certain areas to meet specific safety and regulatory standards
• The installation of acoustical tile ceilings can enhance the overall sound quality of a space by minimizing unwanted echoes
• Cabinetry
• Countertops
• One of the primary benefits of working with light concrete is that it can help to reduce the overall cost of a construction project, particularly when compared to more traditional building materials
• Light demolition
• The installation of commercial doors and hardware can be a time-consuming process that requires a significant level of planning and coordination
• Developing a sense of responsibility for maintaining one's own tools and equipment can improve organizational skills and reinforce the importance of extending the lifespan of possessions
