Job Summary of Contract Teacher:

Implement lesson plans and support academic progress while supervising the classroom in the teacher’s nonattendance. Create a suitable learning atmosphere in adherence to classroom protocols and school conduct standards. Taking on this role facilitates skill development in teaching and aids in student maturation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Contract Teacher:

• Implement and deliver lesson plans based on the guidelines provided by the absent teacher.
• Preserve a safe and well-maintained classroom atmosphere.
• Assist students in grasping the material covered in their courses and successfully finishing their assignments.
• Inform school leaders about any student accidents, health problems, or major disciplinary incidents that arise.
• Take on extra responsibilities as delegated by school authorities.

Qualifications and Experience of Contract Teacher:

• Non-certified candidates need to meet the criteria of holding 30 college credits and obtaining NJ Substitute Certification.
• It is necessary to possess a valid certification from New Jersey for Continuing Education (CE), Certified Educational Administration and Supervision (CEAS), or Standard Teacher Certification.
• A high level of skill in using the English language for communication, comprehension, and composition.
