Custodial Attendant

Job Description:

Custodial Attendants are responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes in food establishments

The attendant adheres to specific guidelines and job standards to preserve the facility's cleanliness and comply with sanitary regulations:

• A thorough cleaning of staircases, hallways, and doors is performed using the most effective cleaning practices.
• To maintain cleanliness in designated spaces, floors are cleaned through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting.
• The duty of transferring, extracting, and disposing of unclean textiles, trash, and hazardous medical waste.
• Making sure that the supplies in the assigned locations are always well-stocked and readily available.
• Being involved in quality improvement activities helps healthcare organizations to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• The hospital administration is responsible for addressing any maintenance or repair requirements reported by the staff or patients.
• Undertaking specific cleaning projects as needed.

Work Environment:

• Varied shifts, predominantly consisting of day shifts with occasional cover, are required in this role.
• Starting at 8:00 AM and concluding at 4:30 PM, the day shift hours are set
• Swing shift refers to the time period between 3:00 PM and 12:00 AM or 7:30 PM and 6:00 AM, during which employees work
• The Environmental Services Department (EVS) is tasked with the maintenance of a hygienic and secure atmosphere in the hospital.
• The mission at hand is to cleanse and sanitize all surfaces, in line with the standards that promote a secure atmosphere for everyone involved in the healthcare facility.
• Staff must wear black scrubs and non-slip footwear as part of the dress code. The company provides two shirts and a badge to the employee during the first week. Equipment and tools must be given back within the same workday and within 24 hours of termination.
