Customer Care Representative

Job Summary:

Have you ever wished the open road could be your office? If so, then consider becoming U-Haul Companys newest U-Box Customer Care Representative (CCR; local delivery driver). As a CCR, you will be responsible for U-Box containers and ensuring that customers are provided with friendly and courteous service.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
• Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers homes and businesses local routes only.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications:

• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Department of Transportation certification
• Commercial drivers license (CDL)

Work Environment:

• The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals.
• May required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

• The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
