Role and Responsibilities of Deli/Bakery Team Associate:

In the role of Deli/Bakery Team Associate, your primary focus will be on delivering excellence in customer service within the Deli Bakery Department. By adhering to guidelines on product quality, cleanliness, and merchandising, you will contribute to creating an inviting and customer-oriented setting.

• Sustain a vibrant customer-centric environment by delivering quick, welcoming, and precise service.
• Demonstrate politeness and support for fellow team members.
• Comply with the guidelines outlined in technical manuals for product processing, labeling, and positioning.
• Manage the procurement, reception, readiness, organization, and exhibition of products according to regulations and protocols.
• Ensure that the department, equipment, and food handling/preparation areas are sanitized effectively.
• Make use of company tools like ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO ordering system for operational efficiency.
• Grasp and comply with the company directives, rules, and established norms.
• Comply with regulations regarding food safety and workplace safety as you identify and address any unsafe environments.
• Inform the Manager on Duty about all accidents involving associates and customers in accordance with Food Lion procedures.
• Make sure to follow all regulations set forth by the local, state, and federal authorities to remain compliant.
• Maintain a polished and professional look by donning the Food Lion uniform and displaying the required name badge as outlined in the company's attire policy.
• Attain proficiency in Computer Based Training (CBT), educational modules, and instructional resources.
• Execute any other responsibilities given.

Required Skills and Experience of Deli/Bakery Team Associate:

• Preferential consideration is given to those with a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Proficient interpersonal, organizational, communication, and client support aptitudes.
• Willpower and readiness to grasp multiple tasks and specific technical obligations of the job role.
• Capacity to utilize technical data for problem-solving purposes.
• It is imperative to meet the minimum age prerequisites to fulfill the job responsibilities effectively.

Physical Requirements of Deli/Bakery Team Associate:

• Ability to use computers and communication systems required for job functions.
• Execute repetitive gestures with hands and arms.
• Bending and lifting goods are required on a continuous basis, with a weight limit of 15 lbs, 25 lbs on a frequent basis, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally exert a force of up to 75 lbs by pushing or pulling.
• Stay upright throughout your work hours, with frequent instances of walking short distances.
• Manage materials utilized for cleaning and packaging purposes.
• Engage in frequent reaching and gripping tasks at the waist, with occasional movements above and below shoulder level.
• Maintain and adhere to the productivity benchmarks that have been established.
• Handle working in extremely hot or cold settings for intervals of up to 20 minutes consecutively.
