Job Description:

Responsibilities:

The initial steps involved in configuring a machine for use, followed by the steps involved in using it, make up the entire machine setup and operation process:

• Arrange the die-casting equipment as per defined specifications and ensure their operational readiness for the start of manufacturing.
• Fine-tune the machine settings to produce parts that meet the desired dimensions and quality standards.
• Perform trial runs to identify areas that require adjustment for the machine to operate at maximum capacity.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Routine maintenance of die-casting machines is crucial in preventing unexpected downtimes and ensuring their optimal operation.
• Efforts to reduce downtime can be achieved by rapidly identifying and repairing any mechanical problems that arise.
• Swap out or fix damaged or malfunctioning pieces, like machine components, molds, and dies.

Quality Control:

• Keep a close eye on the production process to ensure that the parts comply with the set quality standards and specifications.
• Check for imperfections in the completed items and make appropriate modifications to the machinery.
• Accurately recording the performance of equipment, maintenance tasks, and quality checks is a crucial aspect.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety rules and guidelines to create a secure workplace.
• Verify that the machinery and equipment adhere to the industry standards and regulations.
• If you observe any incidents or circumstances that might jeopardize the safety of yourself or those around you, report them to your supervisor right away.

Continuous Improvement:

• Consider implementing automated manufacturing processes to streamline production and reduce the likelihood of human error.
• Team up with the engineering and production units to execute process enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in die-casting technology and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Individuals with technical or vocational training in mechanics or related areas are given preference, though a high school diploma or equivalent remains mandatory.
• Proven track record as a Die Casting Mechanic or equivalent role in a manufacturing facility.
• Exceptional expertise in mechanical systems and experience in resolving intricate issues.
• Technical experts need to possess a high level of proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints to be successful in their job.
• Having the capability to use hand and power tools securely is a vital competency required in many fields of work.

Physical Requirements:

• Proficiency in lifting and transferring weighty industrial machinery parts and apparatus.
