Keeping the hospital environment clean and follow sanitation protocols is the top priority of the Environmental Services Technician:

• Appropriate cleaning supplies are used to sanitize and clean furnishings of all kinds, including fixtures and furniture.
• Cleaning personnel are responsible for ensuring assigned areas are spotless by performing floor cleaning techniques like sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting.
• The job of relocating, taking away, and disposing of dingy linens, trash, and contagious biomedical refuse.
• Ensuring that enough supplies are available in the designated areas to meet the demand of the users.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives is an effective approach to reducing medical errors and improving patient safety.
• It is the duty of hospital staff to report any damage or malfunction they come across to the maintenance department.
• Conducting distinct cleaning tasks as required.

Job Type:

Work Environment:

• The function necessitates adaptable working hours, particularly in the morning, and taking over as needed.
• The day shift begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:30 PM
• The work hours of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM fall under the swing shift timing
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the hospital is the crucial responsibility of the Environmental Services Department (EVS).
• The objective is to maintain hygiene and sterility across all surfaces, in adherence to regulations that aim to uphold the welfare and safety of patients, their loved ones, visitors, and medical staff.
• The dress policy for employees involves the use of black scrubs and slip-resistant shoes. During the first week of employment, the attendant is given two shirts and a badge. Any borrowed property must be returned before the end of the shift or within one business day after a dismissal.
