Job Summary of Equipment Rental Associate:

Are you someone who enjoys being around other people? Do you enjoy assisting others? U-Haul is looking for courteous, motivated candidates for the job of Equipment Rental Associate. As a Equipment Rental Associate, you will work as part of a supporting team to be the face of U-Haul's great service and ensure that customers receive all of the assistance they require during their journeys by inspecting and repairing equipment. In addition to supporting consumers, use cutting-edge technologies to send and return equipment. This employment provides on-the-job education. Our motto is: 'Hire Fast, Pay Fast'.

Responsibilities of Equipment Rental Associate:

• Aid patrons at a U-Haul facility by providing information on U-Haul products and services both indoors and outdoors.
• Incorporate U-Scan technology into smartphones to facilitate rental operations and inventory supervision.
• Shift and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Scrutinize and tidy up machinery at the lot, with a specific focus on inspecting and maintaining optimal fluid levels.
• Inform and educate customers on product specifications and service offerings through effective communication.
• Produce rental invoices and accept returned rental items.
• Put in place hitch installations and wiring systems for trailer connections.
• Complete the certification process for refilling propane tanks, offered to U-Haul employees upon commencement of employment
• Using a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon being hired) is a key requirement for this job
• Additional assignments may be tasked as necessary

Qualifications of Equipment Rental Associate:

• Valid drivers license and ability to maintain a good driving record
