Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operators with Aerotek. The role involves operating heavy machinery on construction sites and handling equipment including bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front end loaders to complete rough and fine grading tasks.

Excelling in this position depends on your ability to work well under pressure, to prioritize tasks and projects effectively, and to maintain a sharp focus on safety and quality. Moreover, good communication and collaboration with other team members, contractors, and clients alike, are essential to project completion within established timelines.

Skills

The excavator's hydraulic systems allow for precise movements and digging depths to be achieved with ease, ensuring efficient performance

To ensure safety while operating a bulldozer, the driver must be properly trained and follow all required safety protocols

Motor graders work by pushing soil, rocks, and other materials around. They commonly use a blade, which is mounted underneath the vehicle, to move the material to create a leveled or graded surface

Work Environment

A usual workplan involves 40-50 hours per week, usually running from Monday to Friday with a beginning time of 7 am and a culmination time of 5 pm. Nonetheless, working on weekends may be mandatory based on the weather situation with some modifications to the schedules.
