Job Description:

An Facility Cleaner can work in different food establishments such as hotels, restaurants, and cafes

The EVS Attendant takes proactive measures to maintain hospital cleanliness by inspecting designated areas and correcting any shortcomings discovered during shifts:

• A systematic and thorough cleaning of fixtures, including but not limited to toilets, basins, and showers, is executed to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Assigned spaces are kept debris-free and clean by performing sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting on the floors.
• The function of transferring, discarding, and removing polluted linens, rubbish, and potentially dangerous waste from medical substances.
• Ensuring that a suitable amount of supplies is always maintained in the assigned areas to avoid any disruptions in operations.
• Quality improvement initiatives are fundamental to enhancing the outcomes of healthcare services.
• Hospital staff must notify the maintenance department of any facility complaints to ensure prompt resolution.
• Accomplishing extraordinary cleaning duties as needed.

Work Environment:

• The job mandates a versatile schedule, with a primary focus on daytime shifts and coverage in emergencies.
• From 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM is when the day shift is in effect
• The time slot of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM is typically categorized as the swing shift
• Upholding a safe and clean environment is a key priority of the Environmental Services Department (EVS) within the hospital.
• The target is to ensure that all surfaces are free from dirt and germs, observing the guidelines that prioritize the protection and well-being of patients, their companions, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
• The attire includes black scrubs and slip-resistant footwear as part of the dress code. The new employee is presented with two shirts and a badge during the first week. Any equipment utilized or borrowed items must be returned on the same day or the following business day if the worker is dismissed.
