Overall Job Summary:

The Fashion Retail Store Manager is responsible for reaching the Sales and Profit goals in the Store by setting a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience. The Fashion Retail Store Manager will ensure to have the Best Team and support their development, as well as work with talent and leadership development and structured performance management for the Store Team based on results, values, and leadership. The Fashion Retail Store Manager will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.

Directly reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this position includes supervising the Store Visual Manager (based on store revenue), Department Manager, Department Supervisor (based on sales volume), Visual Merchandisers (based on sales volume), Cash Office Responsible (based on sales volume), and Sales Associates.

The Routine of Your Day

Sales and Profit

• Consistently track Sales & Profit metrics and implement strategies to improve outcomes
• Maintain compliance with H&M operational guidelines and industry best practices by implementing strategic scheduling approaches that enhance sales performance, facilitate commercial activities, and ensure exceptional customer service delivery. Focus on maximizing conversion rates and managing tasks within the designated labor hour budget to drive operational success and meet sales objectives
• Work hand in hand with the Area and Store team to determine priorities and provide input on store allocations to maintain optimal product levels that positively influence selling performance
• Implement measures to manage store upkeep cost-effectively in accordance with H&M standards and take necessary actions
• Join forces with the Store Team to prevent losses and ensure strict compliance with Audit guidelines
• Participate actively in the implementation of store routines and tasks, which might involve activities like managing the delivery truck, processing garments, making reductions, and adjusting prices accordingly

People and Teams

• Manage and supervise recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for the Store in accordance with H&M's esteemed guidelines
• Evaluate and supervise the performance of Store Team members; conduct dialogues, develop plans for growth, provide feedback, carry out follow-ups, and take actions to enhance performance in alignment with the business objectives
• Maintain regular and transparent communication channels with the Store team concerning Business Performance, Company Culture & Values, and Country/Sales Market/Area/Store goals through structured Store Meetings and Leadership Meetings
• Maintain a commitment to upholding health and safety regulations, legal standards, and security measures that meet H&M's expectations and comply with local laws to ensure the safety and security of employees and customers
• Reinforce our Company Culture through the encouragement of feedback as a regular component of our daily tasks and coaching the Store Team to do the same

Financial Accountability

• Responsibility of the store includes sales growth and profit maximization
• Accurate reporting of sales figures and time utilization

Fashion Retail Store Manager Qualifications

• You can elevate loads that surpass 20 pounds
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, perform repetitive motions, push, pull, and transport items (mannequins, clothing, containers, body forms, etc.) over a short distance
• Ability to scale a ladder and make use of a step stool for additional height
• Open to working evenings and weekends as needed
• Candidates who can demonstrate two to three years of relevant experience in supervising staff are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, such as browsing, software interaction, and data entry, is a prerequisite
• Occasional travel could be mandated to back up other stores, make it to meetings, and attend training sessions
