Job Summary of Field Service Representative:

Are you a peoples person? Do you love helping others? U-Haul is in search of friendly, motivated people for the position of Field Service Representative. As a Field Service Representative, you will work as part of a supportive team to be the face of U-Haul company exceptional service and ensuring that customers get all the help they need on their journeys by inspecting and maintaining equipment. As well as assisting customers, using up-to-date technology to dispatch and return equipment. This position offers on-the-job education. Our motto is 'Hire Fast, Pay Fast'.

Responsibilities of Field Service Representative:

• Help individuals inside and in the surrounding areas of a U-Haul establishment with their U-Haul product and service needs.
• Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for the efficient management of rentals and inventory.
• Transport and join U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Check and maintain equipment on the premises, highlighting the importance of monitoring fluid levels during the process.
• Help customers understand product details and service options by answering their questions effectively.
• Prepare rental statements and handle the return of equipment.
• Attach trailer couplings and wire connections for towing vehicles.
• Attain the certification for filling propane tanks, a service provided by U-Haul as part of their employment package
• Maneuvering a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul as part of the employment package) is essential for this job

Qualifications of Field Service Representative:

• A current driver's license and the competence to uphold a positive driving performance
• An equivalent to a high school diploma is necessary for eligibility

• The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals.
