Position Overview

The Front Desk Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring smooth front desk operations. You will manage and motivate a team of associates, maintain high service standards, and help drive member retention and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Hire, train, and supervise front desk staff

• Schedule shifts and ensure proper staffing at all times

• Coach team members to deliver excellent customer service

• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance check-ins

Customer Service & Operations

• Greet and interact with members and guests with professionalism and energy

• Resolve member concerns or complaints in a timely and positive manner

• Oversee check-ins, guest passes, and club tours

• Monitor club access policies and enforce rules with courtesy

Sales Support

• Support membership sales by providing accurate club information

• Promote current events, classes, and promotions

• Drive front desk upsells such as merchandise and supplements

Administrative Duties

• Maintain daily logs, shift reports, and incident documentation

• Oversee cash handling and reconcile POS transactions

• Coordinate with department leads to support overall club operations

• Maintain front desk area cleanliness and organization

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of customer service or front desk management experience (fitness industry preferred)

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

• Basic proficiency in POS systems, scheduling tools, and office software

• Must be 18 years of age or older

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Must be able to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly
