Position Summary

The General Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving all aspects of the club’s membership sales and revenue growth. You will manage the sales team, develop and implement successful lead generation strategies, and ensure high conversion rates through exceptional team training, motivation, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

• Drive membership sales to meet and exceed monthly goals

• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team

• Lead daily sales meetings, team huddles, and training sessions

• Monitor performance metrics and provide real-time feedback

• Maintain high closing percentages and lead conversion rates

Lead Generation & Outreach

• Implement and execute club-level lead generation strategies

• Support in-club promotions, referrals, local partnerships, and outreach

• Ensure proper usage of CRM systems and lead tracking tools

• Collaborate with marketing to enhance visibility and drive traffic

Customer Service & Retention

• Ensure a positive and engaging experience for all prospects and members

• Oversee new member onboarding and ensure smooth transitions

• Resolve member issues promptly and professionally

• Build rapport and maintain high levels of member satisfaction and retention

Team Development

• Coach and mentor the sales team to meet individual and team goals

• Set weekly targets and performance benchmarks

• Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching

• Foster a results-driven and positive team culture

Reporting & Compliance

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Maintain accurate sales records and documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 3+ years of successful sales management experience (fitness industry preferred)

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to motivate and manage a high-energy team

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
