Role and Responsibilities of Grocery Clerk:

Your primary role as a Grocery Clerk involves delivering top-notch customer service and maintaining the standards set in the standard practice manual to achieve optimal sales and minimize losses through proper adherence to guidelines:

• Offer rapid, personable, and precise customer assistance for a favorable shopping venture.
• Follow the company's directives by ensuring that the shelves, shelf markers, and showcases are tidy and presentable.
• Organize merchandise on shelves based on price labels, making sure only items ready for sale are stocked.
• Ensure compliance with the established rules of the company for the procurement, acceptance, preparation, conditioning, and exhibition of goods.
• Employ the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) features provided by the company.
• Comply with all the policies, protocols, and customary norms in place within the organization.
• Ensure that all Food Safety and Workplace Safety protocols are being followed.
• Recognize and address unsafe environments while also supporting in the proper reporting of accidents as needed.
• It is important to be in proper attire by donning the Food Lion uniform and ensuring a well-groomed appearance.
• Efficiently pass courses such as Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid programs.

Required Skills and Experience of Grocery Clerk:

• Having a high school diploma is the preferred qualification.
• Robust interpersonal, coordination, and correspondence proficiencies.
• Willingness and capability to acquire new skills and handle diverse tasks.
• Capacity to tackle problems adeptly and apply technical knowledge successfully.
• Candidates must adhere to the minimum age criteria for performing job duties.
