Heavy Machinery Operator

Job Description

Aerotek, a company situated, requires experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who will run heavy machinery on construction sites. As an operator, you will handle bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front end loaders to achieve different grading tasks.

In order to excel in this position, you must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and experience in operating heavy machinery. You must also demonstrate an understanding of different soils and materials used in construction. A good knowledge of basic mathematics for measurements is critical, and proficiency in reading plans and blueprints gives an added advantage.

Skills

The excavator uses tracks or wheels to move around on the job site, making it a versatile piece of equipment that can handle various tasks

Bulldozers can move forward or backward, and the blade can be angled left or right to effectively level the terrain

Work Environment

The typical work assignment spans a period of 40-50 hours each week, and it runs from Monday to Friday with a start time of 7 am and an end time of 5 pm. The requirement to work on weekends may arise, depending on the weather conditions, and there should be some level of flexibility.
