HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary of HVAC Maintenance Technician:

Responsibilities entail the maintenance and repair of HVAC-R systems in various specialized equipment across a designated group of 7-Eleven stores. Service calls are raised by store personnel using 7Help work orders and are then directed to the appropriate technician. Oversight for this position falls under the Area Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities of HVAC Maintenance Technician:

• Completes maintenance requests for a variety of in-store equipment, including but not limited to minor HVAC and refrigeration repairs, as well as servicing of cold beverage equipment such as tea machines, fountain machines, FBD, FCB, and creamer machines, along with ice makers in the fountain area or backroom
• Responds to service tickets pertaining to plumbing, electrical, and maintenance concerns promptly
• Conducts regular inspections and maintenance work on a variety of items including dispensers, POS terminals, computers, security tools, and heating/cooling systems to address any issues and ensure they are in optimal working condition
• Plans and sorts out daily work tasks and priorities
• Essential maintenance tasks will be performed on equipment, such as repairing hoses, nozzles, fuel filters, decals, HVAC filters, water filters, and other components
• Tasked with handling the ordering and organization of parts inventory specifically for trucks
• Daily submission of mandatory paperwork and reports to document the allocation of parts and time effectively
• Conducts inspections on equipment to establish if maintenance or further steps are needed
• Expertise in the setup, troubleshooting, resolution, and upkeep of HVAC equipment
• Competence in the utilization of hand-operated and mechanical tools needed for the job
• It is crucial to have knowledge regarding the extraction and environmentally friendly disposal of refrigerant
• Skill in carrying out preemptive maintenance as per documented instructions
• Understanding mechanical and electrical machinery, plumbing, utility systems, and controls maintenance
• Competency in employing computerized monitoring/control devices to maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems showcases proficiency in problem-solving and analytical reasoning within the technological realm
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise direct service providers within the HVAC sector. Grasp and execute verbal and written commands proficiently. Foster and uphold productive working relationships among staff members
• Provide support in educating novice techs whenever the need arises. Exhibit the capacity to operate independently with minimal supervision. Possess the expertise in safely and correctly brazing refrigerant lines and components. Execute other assigned responsibilities, such as special projects, under the guidance of supervisors

Qualification of HVAC Maintenance Technician:

• The ideal candidate will have completed high school or obtained a GED
• Years of expertise in supervising staff and coordinating projects
• Holding an EPA 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) demonstrates expertise in environmental regulations
• Exhibit leadership skills through regular practice and application
• Peer to peer support in technology refers to a decentralized approach where users assist each other in resolving technical issues without the involvement of professional IT personnel

• Possessing the skills to lead a group effectively
