About the Role

The role of a Visual Merchandiser Manager is pivotal in creating an engaging, elevated, and uniform customer experience by enforcing visual guidelines and commercial acumen. Alongside your store team, you will harness your trend knowledge to oversee the implementation of visual and commercial strategies according to guidelines, actively boosting sales. Your leadership will involve coaching and upskilling the Visual Merchandiser team to secure a sustainable talent pool in your store.

Working for H&M means that daily activities are constantly evolving, and a regular day will involve managing a variety of responsibilities, including the following

Customer Sales & Profit revolves around the income and profits derived from client sales

  • Boost the overall OMNI customer experience in your store by ensuring that visual and commercial curation is in line with the prescribed guidelines through ongoing follow-up
  • Ensuring a positive depiction of both yourself and the H&M Brand is crucial when interacting with customers
  • Co-work with the Store Manager, Area Visual Manager, and Store teams to determine, implement, and oversee progress towards store visual and commercial aims
  • Lead your VM team in managing, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks as per the store activation plan and adjusting to meet business requirements in cooperation with the Store Management team and Area Visual Manager
  • Partner with the Store Management team and Area Visual Manager to ensure that the latest global campaigns and sales initiatives are rolled out and finalized on schedule, following H&M Brand Standards
  • Support in upholding garment care standards, managing stock levels, and providing recommendations for distributing inventory to Store Management and Area teams
  • Perform a review of sales metrics (KPIs) to monitor progress, identify, and prioritize visual and commercial chances with the Store Management team
  • Ensure that your VM team creates efficient and effective strategies to increase customer satisfaction to reach sales targets, store goals, budget limitations, and follow-up measures in cooperation with the Store Management team
  • Support the Store Management team in enforcing operational procedures, legal standards, communication protocols, and best practices for OMNI services to ensure smooth operations throughout the store

Staying informed about the latest fashion movements empowers individuals to experiment with their style and evolve their fashion sense

  • Stay connected to the fashion scene by staying updated on trends, styles, brands, and influential figures.
  • Empower your VM team to immerse themselves in fashion and trend awareness by dedicating time to understanding trend theory and creating mood boards for styling techniques. This initiative will enable them to anticipate customer needs and enrich the shopping experience in-store

Team & Development

  • Inspire and educate your retail team to stay informed about seasonal transitions, fashion trends, key visual and commercial details, in-store communication, and managing price perception among customers
  • Aid in the coaching and advancement of the visual and business capabilities of the VM and Store teams to secure a top-quality product exhibition and commercial representation based on set standards
  • Support & develop daily routines and best practices for your Store team to always ensure a consistent level of visual & commercial standard while maintaining customer service engagement
  • Engaged in recruiting, integrating, evaluating, training, and advancing talent and recently onboarded team members alongside the Store Manager and Area Team
  • Implement robust performance management systems to identify high-potential individuals and provide them with opportunities for growth and development
  • Coordinate, deliver, and implement visual and business skill-building for you and your team members
  • Oversees the completion of Visual Competences & Commercial 4 All trainings by Store teams, tailored to meet the specific learning and development targets for Regional & Sales Market contexts
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Area teams to deliver adept personnel for the development of store projects

Putting visual and commercial strategies into practice

  • Directing the visual merchandising, commercial styling, and store layout to reflect the commercial calendar, product allocation, store initiatives, and trend forecasts under visual and commercial guidelines
  • Ensure that your visual merchandising team upholds best practices in sample selection procedures, incorporating the meticulous monitoring of stockroom inventories for garments, accessories, and footwear, to enable the accurate reflection of trend narratives inspired by the visual and commercial guidelines
  • Ensure that your VM team aligns their approach to window displays and styling with visual and commercial guidelines to cultivate an inspiring and revenue-generating customer experience
  • Sustain a positive customer flow by optimizing the commercial layout and strategically placing fixtures to highlight trending products and create a cohesive story for shoppers
  • Maintaining a strong balance and continuous monitoring of price signs in windows and diverse store areas in compliance with the guidelines derived from the Global strategy and Sales Market requirements should be a priority for the VM and Store teams
  • Assist in coordinating with Facilities Management to make sure that the lighting in place is functioning well, aimed at accentuating our products and window displays throughout the store
  • Maintain the condition of display forms and interior materials with a sustainable approach
  • Partner with the Area Visual Manager to maintain your store's navigation by keeping it in line with the latest guidelines and store layout
  • Confirm that your store is well-equipped with the right amount of products for sales and promotional purposes under local norms
  • Under local security policies, ensure that the sales floor and backroom are neat, structured, and secure

The hourly compensation is anticipated to be within the range of $21.87 - $30.36
