Job Overview

Intuit is seeking a knowledgeable Income Tax Advisor to join our team and provide expert guidance on individual and small business tax matters. In this role, you will help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and offer strategic advice to optimize tax outcomes. You will serve as a trusted resource, empowering clients to make informed financial decisions while supporting Intuit’s mission of "Powering Prosperity Around the World."

What You’ll Do

• Tax Preparation & Advisory: Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Client Consultation: Provide tailored advice on deductions, credits, tax planning, and future strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize refunds.

• Problem Solving: Handle complex tax scenarios, including investments, self-employment income, rental property, life events (marriage, children), and retirement planning.

• Education & Communication: Explain tax concepts clearly and in approachable terms, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.

• Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with clients by understanding their unique financial situations and addressing their concerns proactively.

• Collaboration & Resources: Utilize Intuit's tools, resources, and team expertise to deliver the best solutions for clients.

Who You Are

• Certified CPA, EA, or practicing attorney with strong experience in income tax preparation and advisory services.

• Active PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) as required by law.

• Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience preparing individual and business income tax returns.

• Deep knowledge of federal and state income tax laws, credits, deductions, and planning strategies.

• Excellent client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Comfortable using technology, tax software, and virtual tools for client interaction.
