Role Overview

As an Income Tax Clerk, you will assist in the preparation and processing of individual and business tax returns. You will ensure tax documents are accurate, organized, and submitted on time while providing essential support to the tax team. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize tax documents for review and filing.

• Verify completeness and accuracy of client-provided information.

• Assist with data entry into tax preparation software.

• Maintain organized records of client files and correspondence.

• Support tax professionals with calculations, research, and documentation.

• Respond to client inquiries regarding tax filing procedures.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

• Familiarity with tax preparation software or willingness to learn.

• Basic knowledge of federal and state tax laws preferred.

• Strong organizational and data entry skills.
