Position Summary

The Inside Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales, managing relationships, and leading the inside sales team to achieve performance goals. You act as a bridge between the sales team and customers, ensuring exceptional service while supporting operational efficiency. This role combines leadership, sales strategy, and customer engagement to maximize revenue and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Customer Engagement

• Lead the inside sales team in achieving individual and team sales goals.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on products, promotions, and sales strategies.

• Coach team members on best practices for upselling, cross-selling, and building customer loyalty.

• Ensure consistent, high-quality interactions with customers via phone, email, or online channels.

Team Development & Coaching

• Mentor, train, and motivate inside sales associates to improve performance and achieve goals.

• Provide ongoing feedback, recognize achievements, and drive team engagement.

• Collaborate with store leadership and cross-functional teams to share insights and implement improvements.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor daily operations of the inside sales team to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales data, and follow-ups.

• Identify process improvements to optimize sales workflow and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and asset protection standards.

Reporting & Analysis

• Track KPIs, sales performance metrics, and team productivity to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Provide reports and actionable insights to management for strategy planning.

• Implement initiatives to improve customer retention, conversion rates, and overall sales effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

• Flexible availability and willingness to support team needs as required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CRM systems, POS systems, or other sales technology tools.

• Knowledge of AE & Aerie products and retail operations.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
