Calling All Go-Getters

We’re seeking a high-energy General Manager to oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and lead a team of Inshoppers, Assistant Managers, and Delivery Drivers. In this role, you’ll manage food and labor costs, train and develop your team, and drive results while ensuring every customer enjoys fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service. This position requires passion, leadership, and a hands-on approach—because at Jimmy John’s, we do whatever it takes to make kick-ass sandwiches for our customers.

General Manager Summary of Responsibilities:

• Oversee all restaurant operations to ensure profitability and execution of brand standards

• Lead by example, delivering Freaky Fast and Freaky Fresh sandwiches in a clean, efficient environment

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and discipline a team of 3 Assistant Managers and up to 50 crew members

• Maintain high standards for customer service and employee performance

• Manage labor scheduling and cost controls to align with business goals

• Handle ordering, receiving, storage, and issuance of all food, paper, equipment, and cleaning supplies

• Supervise food prep and service operations; assist during rush periods

• Route deliveries and manage drivers to maximize efficiency and speed

• Perform daily food prep including slicing meats, vegetables, and baking bread

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork accurately

• Maintain inventory systems and manage weekly ordering schedules

• Conduct weekly manager meetings and audit store systems

• Ensure cash handling accuracy and security procedures are followed 100%

• Perform store maintenance, equipment upkeep, and cleanliness standards

• Comply with all health, safety, and food handling guidelines

General Manager Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Must speak, read, and write English fluently and clearly

• Strong math skills in addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

• Willing to provide feedback, suggestions, and support across the team

• Ability to work 40–65 hours per week, including nights and weekends

• Physically able to stand, bend, reach, lift (up to 50 lbs), and navigate varying temperatures (including walk-in refrigerators and freezers)
