As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and high standards of hygiene while assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.

The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing ingredients, such as washing, chopping, and measuring, as well as assisting with plating dishes and ensuring meals are presented correctly. In this role, the Kitchen Assistant will also be tasked with maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing food and equipment. A successful Kitchen Assistant must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions carefully, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Key duties of the Kitchen Assistant include supporting chefs with meal preparation, replenishing ingredients, organizing kitchen tools, and monitoring stock levels. The Kitchen Assistant will also be responsible for checking deliveries, unpacking supplies, and ensuring all food items are stored according to safety and hygiene guidelines. Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when needed.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
