Lead Housekeeper

Job Summary:

ESA Management, LLC is hiring a responsible and motivated Lead Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. In this leadership role, you'll assist in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet company cleanliness and quality standards. The Lead Housekeeper also supports training and coordination of housekeeping staff, helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-focused work environment.

Lead Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Support the Housekeeping Manager in leading and coordinating the housekeeping team

• Perform inspections of cleaned guest rooms and public spaces to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met

• Provide hands-on cleaning support by cleaning guest rooms, laundry, and public areas as needed

• Train and mentor new housekeeping staff, reinforcing proper cleaning procedures and safety practices

• Assign daily room and task checklists and ensure timely completion

• Monitor supply inventory and assist with ordering and restocking as directed

• Report maintenance issues, guest complaints, and safety concerns to management promptly

• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times

• Assist with scheduling, team communication, and documentation when the Housekeeping Manager is unavailable

Lead Housekeeper Secondary Functions:

• Assist in managing lost and found items per company procedures

• Support laundry and custodial operations as needed

• Fill in for absent team members to ensure department coverage

Lead Housekeeper Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in housekeeping or hospitality

• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to read, write, and follow English instructions

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

• Excellent communication and team leadership skills

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
