Massage Therapist

Department: Wellness / Recovery Services

Reports To: General Manager or Recovery Manager

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Compensation: Hourly + Commission + Tips (Total potential varies based on schedule and client volume)

Position Summary

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage services to gym members and guests, supporting their wellness and recovery goals. This role helps create a relaxing and rejuvenating environment and educates clients on the benefits of ongoing massage therapy as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of massage techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, etc.) based on client needs

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming massage area

• Educate members on the benefits of regular massage and recommend follow-up sessions

• Uphold all sanitation and professional standards in line with state regulations

• Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, and intake forms

• Assist in promoting massage therapy services within the club

• Collaborate with training, recovery, and front desk staff to provide holistic wellness support

Qualifications

• Must have current state licensure or certification for massage therapy

• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)

• 1+ years of massage therapy experience preferred

• Ability to perform a variety of massage modalities

• Professional, friendly, and reliable demeanor

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Must adhere to local and state massage regulations and policies
