Position Summary:

The Master Technician is the highest level technical expert in the shop, responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring fellow technicians. You will ensure that all vehicles are serviced with the highest standards of quality and safety, while supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems

• Accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic tools

• Support and mentor technicians and team members with troubleshooting, repair techniques, and service procedures

• Ensure all repair and maintenance services meet company and manufacturer standards

• Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and labor hours

• Assist with shop workflow, training, and efficiency improvement initiatives

• Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations

• Provide top-tier customer service and explain vehicle issues or repair needs when required

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic

• Current ASE Master Certification (or equivalent) preferred

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair methods

• Proficient with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and service software

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Must be 18 years or older and able to lift 50+ lbs
