If so, join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Meat Clerk!

What You'll Do

As a Meat Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction in the Meat Department by keeping displays clean, stocked, and well-organized. You'll assist customers, handle special orders, and support meat preparation activities alongside the Meat Cutter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional customer service

• Stock, clean, and rotate meat displays and wrap stations

• Assist with special orders and customer inquiries

• Work with Meat Cutter to prepare items as needed

• Maintain clean and organized shelves and cases

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and follow instructions, labels, pricing codes, and memos

• Basic written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Physical capability to lift 25–60 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, standing, and kneeling for extended periods

• Flexibility to work in a cold environment (meat coolers, cutting area)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic PC and Outlook skills

• Retail Management Certificate

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Certifications

• Valid Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role operates in a fast-paced grocery store setting with physical requirements including lifting, prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. The ability to work in refrigerated areas is essential. Visual and auditory capabilities are necessary for safety and communication.
