Compensation: Base Salary + Commission + Performance Bonuses

Position Summary

The Membership Director is responsible for leading and managing the membership sales department. This includes developing strategic sales plans, overseeing membership advisors, and driving overall membership growth and retention. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with strong sales acumen, a passion for fitness, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor the Membership Advisor team to meet or exceed sales targets

• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive membership acquisition and retention

• Monitor individual and team performance; provide coaching and performance feedback

• Implement and manage lead generation campaigns and community outreach efforts

• Conduct tours and assist with sales presentations as needed

• Ensure team compliance with all sales procedures, documentation, and CRM systems

• Collaborate with the General Manager and other department leaders to support club-wide initiatives

• Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and adjust strategies based on performance metrics

• Maintain a strong presence on the gym floor to foster member relationships and team engagement

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in the fitness or service industry

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
