The Corporate team in Hanover, MD, has an internal vacancy for a Payroll Assistant / Associate to fill

This position offers an hourly compensation of $21.63 and the possibility of earning a bonus of $1,000 per quarter

Full-Time | Internal/Permanent | Monday through Friday | 8:30AM to 5:30PM

The Payroll Associate is a key position that will report directly to the Payroll Lead. Persons holding this position must possess professional and efficient coordination skills to manage the large volume of Payroll-related requests made by external employees and field partners. The individual will work closely alongside several internal and external partners from various Operating Companies, using their expertise to provide outstanding service. They will be responsible for tasks such as query resolution, executing Correction Requests, fulfilling cash pay card orders, federal, and state tax form reviews.

Another critical function of the payroll associate is managing employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, to ensure that each employee receives the benefits to which they are entitled:

• Be the primary contact point for field partners reaching out for help with payroll issues via phone or email
• Our commitment to responding accurately and in a timely manner to partner inquiries demonstrates our dedication to providing exceptional customer service and meeting the needs of our partners
• It is important to have a formal system in place to distribute and update payroll policies and procedures to all field partners in a timely manner
• Organize and distribute regular reports on payroll queries, investigations, and audits to key stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies
• Streamline the process of resolving payroll discrepancies by ensuring that all necessary documentation is readily available and easily accessible
• One of the advantages of using Excel for this purpose is that it allows you to customize your tracking logs to fit your unique needs
• One of the core responsibilities of Payroll Specialists is to meticulously sift through mails and documents as part of their daily routine, ensuring that there are no errors in their records
• Utilize emails and outgoing phone calls to reach out to external parties such as Bank of America and check cashing institutions to conduct research on payroll-related matters
• Establishing Contact with Contractors through Affiliated Collocation Centers
• The role of the payroll department is therefore critical to ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on time, and that the organization remains compliant with all relevant regulations
