Personal Tax Advisor

Job Overview

Intuit is seeking a dedicated Personal Tax Advisor to join our team and provide expert guidance to individual clients. In this role, you will help clients navigate their personal tax situations, provide accurate tax preparation, and offer advice on strategies to optimize refunds and minimize liabilities. You will serve as a trusted resource, helping clients feel confident about their taxes while supporting Intuit’s mission of "Powering Prosperity Around the World."

What You’ll Do

• Tax Preparation & Advisory: Prepare and review individual tax returns (federal, state, and local) accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with tax laws.

• Client Guidance: Provide tailored advice on deductions, credits, and planning strategies to help clients optimize their tax positions.

• Relationship Building: Develop strong, lasting relationships with clients by understanding their unique financial situations and proactively addressing tax concerns.

• Problem Solving: Handle complex tax scenarios, including investment income, life events (marriage, children, homeownership), and small business income.

• Education & Communication: Explain tax concepts in clear, everyday language, empowering clients to make informed financial decisions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other Intuit teams to ensure clients have access to the full suite of Intuit solutions for personal finance management.

Who You Are

• Active CPA, EA, or practicing attorney with experience in individual tax preparation and advisory services.

• Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience preparing 30+ individual tax returns per season.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including credits, deductions, and filing requirements.

• Excellent client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proficient with tax software and comfortable using technology to deliver client services.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.
