Job Description:

The effective candidate must have proficiency in working with steel. The role encompasses the ability to utilize Stick, flux core, and MIG welding techniques, creating unique types of steel (such as aluminium, hot roll, cold roll, etc.), accomplishing welding from unconventional angles (overhead, vertical, & horizontal), and utilizing blueprints. Additionally, it calls for the precise use of measuring tools such as tape measure, gauges, squares, and other equipment to guarantee precision.

Hard Skills

• Connecting/Erecting
• Experienced in reading architectural plans
• Stick welding is often used for field repairs and construction due to its versatility and ability to weld in almost any position
• Out-of-position welding includes welding techniques such as overhead, vertical, and horizontal welding
• In metalworking, micrometers are used to measure the thickness of sheet metal, while gauges are used to ensure that the metal is shaped to the right dimensions

Job Type:

The position in question has a contractual arrangement with a four-month time limit as a prerequisite before becoming a direct hire.

Work Environment:

The job is situated in a fabrication facility where customization and welding are integral to the production process.
