Position Overview

The Professional Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout guest rooms and hotel areas. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering the best possible guest experience in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a professional commitment to exceptional guest service.

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and hotel spaces following company standards.

• Ensure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and laundry areas are clean, stocked, and organized.

• Replenish room supplies, amenities, and linens as needed.

• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

• Handle guest requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and security policies.

• Complete all required training and certifications.

Other Duties

• Assist with cleaning common areas such as hallways, stairwells, vending areas, breakrooms, and laundry facilities.

• Support laundry operations as needed (washing, drying, folding).

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the hotel environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliability and professionalism in attendance and work habits.

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks as required.

Compensation

Compensation is based on location, experience, and length of service. Pay complies with all applicable federal, state, and local wage requirements.

• California: $16.50 – $24.00

• Colorado: $16.00 – $19.00

• Illinois: $16.00 – $19.00

• Minnesota: $16.00 – $19.00

• New Jersey: $15.00 – $22.32

• Washington: $16.66 – $21.10

• Whitestone, NY: $18.27 – $19.62
