Job Summary of Provisional Teacher:

Provide classroom instruction and support by implementing lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure a productive learning environment while following established classroom routines and school policies. This role offers an opportunity to gain teaching experience and contribute to student development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Provisional Teacher:

• Follow through with and enact lesson plans as instructed by the teacher who is not present.
• Preserve a safe and well-maintained classroom atmosphere.
• Help students in understanding the subject material and completing their coursework.
• Inform school leaders about any student accidents, health problems, or major disciplinary incidents that arise.
• Carry out supplementary tasks as required by school administrators.

Qualifications and Experience of Provisional Teacher:

• Non-certified applicants are expected to have obtained NJ Substitute Certification and completed a minimum of 30 college credits.
• Certification from New Jersey for Continuing Education (CE), Certified Educational Administration and Supervision (CEAS), or Standard Teacher Certification is a prerequisite.
• Capacity to effectively engage with the English language through speaking, reading, and writing competencies.
