Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description:

Our company is in urgent need of a competent Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a family-owned business specializing in precision machined components for the automotive, truck, and bus industries, the successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify that product specifications are met by conducting thorough quality control inspections
• The PPAP process also provides substantial benefits beyond product launch, such as improving quality control, reducing defects, and increasing customer satisfaction
• Businesses must conduct IATF audits to ensure they are compliant with industry regulations
• Effective problem-solving requires not only addressing the immediate symptoms but understanding and resolving the root cause of a problem
• By implementing effective quality control procedures and work instructions, organizations can improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and enhance their reputation in the marketplace
• Encourage collaborative efforts across various functions to enhance product quality and streamline manufacturing processes
• It is important to regularly evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement
• Preserve superior quality metrics and formulate thorough presentations

Pay/Shift:

• A competitive salary between $60,000 and $85,000 is offered for this position on an annual basis
• Shift: 1st Shift

Required Hard Skills:

• Quality control methodologies require a systematic, data-driven approach to problem-solving that focuses on continuous improvement and the elimination of variability
• Those with the experience in CMM operations can branch out into various applications and be part of cutting-edge research and development projects
• Utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers accurately can help individuals in technical disciplines achieve greater accuracy and precision in their work
• The competency to provide well-organized PPAP documentation is a critical aspect of supply chain management
• Collaborative efforts between quality control and production departments are necessary for the successful maintenance of a PFMEA and Control Plan in a manufacturing setting
• I approach each IATF audit with a significant degree of empathy and understanding that every client is different. This allows me to work with clients on a personal level and provide recommendations that suit their specific needs
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex root cause analysis findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• Effective quality metrics often require a proactive approach to data collection and analysis, as well as a willingness to be flexible and adaptable in response to changing business needs
