Job Summary of Rental Lot Attendant:

Are you someone who enjoys interacting with others and finds fulfillment in assisting them? U-Haul is currently seeking individuals who are sociable and driven to serve as Rental Lot Attendant. In this role, you will collaborate with a cohesive group to represent U-Haul's high-quality service, providing crucial support to customers as they embark on their travels through the inspection and upkeep of equipment. Additionally, you will engage in helping customers and utilizing modern technology for equipment dispatch and returns. This job provides opportunities for hands-on learning. Responsibilities of Rental Lot Attendant:

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications of Rental Lot Attendant:

• Possession of a legitimate driver's license and the capacity to uphold a favorable driving history
• Attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent is required

• The job entails physical effort, including extended periods of staying in one place, navigating both indoor and outdoor spaces, adjusting positions to reach objects at different levels, and handling equipment that weighs at least 50 lbs with or without help.
