About the Role

The Retail Personal Banker II is a client-facing role responsible for building strong customer relationships, driving sales of banking products and services, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position serves as a trusted financial advisor, providing tailored solutions that meet the needs of individuals and families while supporting branch growth objectives.

General Function

• Engage with customers to uncover financial needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.

• Deliver a consultative banking experience by offering products such as checking, savings, loans, credit cards, mortgages, and investment referrals.

• Contribute to branch sales goals while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

• Deepen relationships with existing clients through proactive outreach and financial wellness conversations.

• Uphold compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct customer onboarding, account opening, and maintenance for personal banking products.

• Generate new business through referrals, community involvement, and prospecting efforts.

• Deliver personalized financial guidance and ensure clients understand available services.

• Partner with specialists in mortgages, investments, and small business banking to provide holistic solutions.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, services, and digital banking platforms.

• Support branch operational activities, including cash handling, audits, and compliance reporting.

• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced bankers when required.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required

• 2–4 years of experience in retail banking, sales, or financial services.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and develop customer relationships.

• Strong knowledge of consumer banking products and services.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity and adherence to compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with digital banking tools, Microsoft Office, and core banking systems.
